I am using a Macbook Pro with macOs 10.15.7 Catalina. But I believe it was after an update of Firefox ). All the past week I have had this issue (I cant remember when it began exactly. If I deactivate the Passwords application, the computer comes back to normal. If I activate a password website, CPU begins to work all the time with the ventilator fully blowing. I understood that password was involved in the CPU overload and Firefox because of this. (in a normal Firefox window as well as in a private one). (screen shot, i am not certain about the name of things on the screen in English).ΔΆ) Next, when I go to a website protected by a password, the Password pop-up window that fills the login/password combination does not appear. 1) when I click on the button on the bar, nothing happens, instead of having a pop-up window with access to the passwords.
